Keeping your DREAM alive !

My first direct view of Titanic lasted less than two minutes,
but the stark side of her immense black hull towering above
the ocean floor will remain forever in my memory. My lifelong
dream was to find this great ship, and during the past thirteen years
the quest for her had dominated my life. Now, finally. the quest was over.
                                                                                             By: Robert Ballard

Do you have a "lifelong dream".. Anything "dominating your life" enough to hold your attention for thirteen or more years as Robert Ballard? ...Some "adventurous journey " you'd love to participate in....some discovery you long to make...some enterprise you secretly imagine? Without a dream, life is quickly reduced to bleak black and wimpy white. A dream fuels our fire. It keeps our mind in gear, makes us press on. All of us are surrounded by and benefit from the results of the dream of someone else. Let me name few.

. Above my head is a bright electric light. Thanks, Edison.
. On my nose are eyeglasses that enable me to focus. Thanks, Franklin.
. In our driveway is a car ready to take me wherever I choose to steer it. Thanks, Ford.
.Across my shelves are books full of interesting and carefully researched pages. Thanks, authors.
. Coming into my ears through the day are sounds of beautiful music, each piece representing a different mix of melody and rhythm...lyrics that linger. Thanks, composers.
. Flashing through my mind are ideas, memories, stimulating thoughts and creative skill. Thanks, teachers.
. Deep inside me are personality traits, strong convictions, a sense of right and wrong, a love for God, an ethical compass, a lifelong commitment to the one I love and family. Thanks, parents.

My list could continue another page. So could yours. Because some cared enough to dream, to pursue, to follow through and complete their quest to achieve their lifelong dream so that our lives are more comfortable and more stable.
How about you? Are you dreaming about writing an article or a book? Write it!
Are you wondering if all that work with your kids, and family is worth it?  It's worth it. Keep pursuing!
Want to go back to school and finish that degree? Go back and do it...pay the price, even if it takes years.
Can't get that tune out or your head....got some songs that need to get on paper ? See it through. Work at it!
Thinking about going into business for yourself? Why not!

                                                                    DREAM ON......!
